Took the APFT today,

Increased on everything, aiming to "Max" my Pushups and Situps and cut 3.5min to 4min off my 2mile time, it's a lot but I'm motivated and I've done it before, I was just 6years younger.

Did my 4 hrs on the elipticals and treadmills and got some extra sleep.  Didn't keep track of how far I went though, was just a casual day though.

Run/Walk, 45min, Friend we were running with was getting light headed from low blood sugar so we took it pretty easy for the last 2 miles.  What we did run felt good though.

4 hrs on the elipticals and treadmills then 1hr of basketball.

I generally count half the time for cross-training for mileage as well. I would count this as probably 3 miles. Everyone does it different though...

Ran the first mile in about 9:15, not bad considering the moderate uphill slope.  Last half sucked though.

Hi! welcome to the blog! Cody (my hubby)informed me that you are a coworker and joined the blog. Congrats, Loganites are always welcome. We are planning a hostile takeover of the whole Running blog. Dont tell sasha.

I admire your 1 hr 40 min on treadmill, I am struggling with that piece of equipment right now. Good luck running!

(ha, "the equipment" I like it)

Welcome to the blog...this is a great blog to help motivate you to "keep running, keep running, keep running."

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I hope your headache is better. Mine is stress from work. If you get a chance to go back and read my previous blogs, you'll see. The Reader's Digest version is I have someone at work who is stalking, harassing, and threatening me. After trying to go through "chain of commmand" for 3.5 years, I got a lawyer and things are moving along. But things often get worse while they are getting better... Hence the headaches.

Well... I wasn't feeling well at all yesterday, had a pretty bad headache and think I'm coming down with a cold. So I ended up on my living room floor fairly well medicated drinking lots of water and juice and wrapped in a blanket sleeping through movies. I'm a sissy when it comes to headaches.

Today however I feel great. I walked on treadmills for about 1hr 20min and plan on going to the gym and doing a light jog this afternoon. I'll report back later.

Thanks to those who have welcomed me throughout my first week!

PM:  Another 20min running/jogging and 60min walking on the equipment.  Then finished the evening off with an hour of basketball... I was feeling pretty good, very little calf pain tonight.  I'm happy.

Man I've been feeling horrible the past few days.  I slept most of what I wasn't working yesterday.  I went and worked on the equipment again this morning.  95min walking.

Will check back later.

WoW...

Well, I'm a slacker apparently and need to focus more on sticking to what I was doing a month ago so I don't have another week like last.

95 min on the equipment this morn. will check back.

PM-  I hit the gym for about 45min of weight training, I try to keep the pace up there so that I keep my heart rate up, that was easy today.  I started my "On" cycle for a couple of my supplements again today and it had me pretty hyper.  I hung out at home for about 20min and then went back to Icon to do my time there.  45min on a treadmill (some jogging, mostly walking) and 35min on an eliptical after I killed another treadmill w/a weak motor.

Here's the interesting part if anybody is reading this... When I left Icon and got home my calves were pretty tight (dunno why, Icon was ridiculously laid back as usual) so I read my daughter a couple books and put my shoes on and went for a jog hence the 1.5miles and my calves feel significantly more relaxed now.  It's kinda cool, I'm looking at it as my body was ready to run a little after taking over a week off on accident.

The best part of the day was my run soooo.  I started out and noticed that a bit of a storm seemed to be rolling in and lucky me, the wind was blowing in my face.  I tried to stay positive by thinking of it as forced air induction for my lungs.  No dice, turns out the only thing positive about a wind in the face is that when I hit the turn around I felt like I could run like the wind.... a very very slow wind.

I ran 1.5 miles without stopping and felt like I could keep going once the wind wasn't in my face!  Thank you Chris (friend from work) for running with me for the last month and thank you Cody for getting me onto this site... It really does help, So thank you Sasha for your efforts.

I think Sasha would say that your horses were "neighing" Awesome to have your body beg you for a run!! And dont be so tough on yourself, any running is good- no matter what speed.

It was brutally slow today but I managed 6 miles for the first time in a long time today.  Took us 1hr 11min.  (crap... oh well)

So to start out I made it only a mile before I had to stop for about 100yd.  The head wind was blowing snow at us bad enough that I don't really feel too bad about it.  The First 1.4 miles was the majority of the flat ground, after that there was little to be had.

The next 1.3 mile seemed to be mostly up hill so it really kinda stunk, very slow, some walking.

By this point I think I resigned myself and my body to the pain.... Oh yeah and what goes up must come down.  So now that I started to reap the reward of my uphill struggle I used the downhill to get my breath under control and stretch out a little bit so I was semi ready for the next uphill battle.  I ran the next 3.4mi. with one 100yd stop to let my back stop aching which was slowing down more than my breath or legs by that point.

Fun run, my knees hurt a little, but at least my calves are to tired to hurt LOL.  I'm gonna do a bit of an ab work out and I'll prep for tomorrow... probably not gonna run, but we play basketball for about an hour+ on Wednesdays and I'll try to jog at Icon on the treadmills.

Good Morning Folks,

Did 45min on a TM this morning in 10min walking 5min jogging intervals. Finished my day at Icon with 45min on an eliptical, easy, nothing to report there.

I feel good today so I'm looking forward to my hour at the Gym later and even more so towards playing basketball tonight. I'll check in before I go to bed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

PM---

Well... I slacked, I went to an impromptu dinner and then to basketball but that was it.  I was semi careful about the food but I think I still ate a bit too much... Frustrating

We don't really know how long it was but Chris's sister runs it regularly and said it was bout 5mi. so that's what I'm going with for now.  It was fun, we ran a trail in the foothills above Millville and Hyrum today.  Saw some deer.  Pretty casual run for them but smoked me pretty good at a few points.  took us about an hour.  Chris's dad joined us, he's a hoot, so we had a good time.

Good run, was tired from yesterday so my legs felt like they didn't have anything t give at all but I made it.  My left leg seemed to hurt quite a bit more than my right so we are going to try making sure to run on the most even ground we can find, thinking maybe it was the curve of the road.

95 min on the "Equipment" this morn, Survived the holiday weekend with little ill effect. Weighed in this morning and still sitting right around 290, no significant gain or loss.

PM--  45min at the gym and another 95 on the equipment.  Uneventful, looking forward to tomorrow.

Ok there was supposed to be something in yesterdays box, but..... I fell asleep for 3hrs after I got home... I'm a huge slacker and now I'm going to have to pay for it today.

95min on the equipment this morn.

PM.--

OK, sooooo.... I have this issue where my body seems to shut down when I get home from work and I fall asleep.  Lazyness? Probably.  So to combat that thought I did my 95min on the equipment at Icon (worked it a little harder than norm), went straight to play basketball for 1.5hrs. and then as "Pentance" for not doing anything earlier or for the past few days for that matter.  I ditched the basketball shoes and pulled on my running shoes for the coldest 2.8mi. I've done in a very long time. It turned out to be a little bit more of a Jog/walk but I needed to get something on the board.  I'll take it since it was 10:10 pm at night when I started.  Really wanted to go for 6mi but I wussed out at about 1.25mi and took a shortcut.  Good night!

BAH! My browser locked up before I could submit my entry last time.

95min. on the equipment. As part of my monthly "Workout Revamp" I am stepping up the pace a little bit at work.

GOOD NEWS! My monthly weigh in at my National Guard drill had me at 282lbs. That's about 28lbs. lost in about 2 months. Only the hardest 60 to go now! haha!

PM-- Didn't feel as good as I expected.  Just did my 95min at work on the equipment.
